Registration Certificate Renewal – 2W / 4W ( MH01- Tardeo )

Generally visits to RTO are not easy, generally time consuming and hence people prefer agents ( who many a times take clients for a ride )
So after reading on mparivahan portal I decided to go myself and with time at hand I wished to accomplish the task in a day.
Steps for renewal :-

I reached at 11am and as usual my modus operandi was to ask the inquiry counter and get details and follow it. But this time I enquired with the tea vendor who I first encountered.
He told me to go to E block. There I was told to go to E-16. The clerk there told me that I should pay the tax and fees and come again. I told him I will have my evening tea and go today ( basically finish my work today itself ).
He volunteered to help and guided me step by step.
1) First he told me to make the payments for environment tax and renewal fees on the portal; which I immediately tried on my phone but was not able to. So my friend the Tea Vendor guided me outside the RTO where many shops are set up.
I went to one and they made the payment for me and charged 300 extra.
Rs 2000/- for tax and 1650/- for fees for a renewal period of 5 years. ( Total I paid 3950/- ). Would have saved this 300 if I had carried my Laptop.
2) With these receipts I went again at E-16 and showed him.
3) He directed me to go for Vehicle passing then go to D block to get inspectors signature and then go to E-12 for in-warding the documents.
4) I took my Activa to the inspector who checked it and when it came to Chasis number …..it was missing. ( They take pencil inscription of Chasis Number on Form 25 ). Now I was in a soup.
5) He told me to go and fill Form B.T.I which I could get hold of at the zerox centre ( he has all the forms ready ). I had to fill the BTI form and take it to D- Block inspector for his signature and remarks. Basically this form is for Chasis number being not present and for fresh application….my god…
6) I went again to E-16 for help and the clerk was surprised and told me all my efforts are gonna be delayed as now I will have to apply for new Chasis number and was directed to block F-8 backside.
7) The clerk there told me to go to the Vehicle inspector again for his remark for Fresh Chasis Number application which I took and again went to D-Block inspector for his Signature and approval.
I took this BTI to F-8 again who collected all my documents and told me to inquire after 4 days.
I was back home at 3:30pm.
Now lets see whats in store after 4 days....
